Must-Read: Top Courses That Changed People's Financial Lives
Hello Tribe,
Welcome to another exciting edition of MoneyMint! We're more than just a newsletter—we're a community of go-getters, dreamers, and doers.
Let’s start today’s story, shall we?
How Abdulla Baker Made $15,000 in 60 days launching a GPT Wrapper
Abdulla Baker built NinjaChat AI out of a personal need.
As a college student, he was paying $60 per month for Pro subscriptions to ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.
The cost was high, and he kept hitting usage limits. No affordable, integrated solution existed.
He was pretty frustrated with these issues.
So what does an entrepreneur do when frustrated with existing products?
Build their own solution, of course!
That's exactly what Baker did!
As a developer, he decided to create a simple UI merging ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.
His pricing strategy? Pure genius:
Free tier: 10 messages/day
Pro tier: Unlimited for $18/month
The challenge?
Building the product while living in his car.
Finding parking spots and places to shower were daily problems he faced. But he didn't quit.
Instead, he remained focused on his goal, using his free time to continue developing his product.
In under 2 weeks, he developed:
Authentication
Pricing
AI models
Image models
And more
Impressive speed, but the real magic was in his marketing.
Baker's launch strategy:
One sponsored YouTube video (long-form ad)
Paid YouTubers to create sponsored content
The result? Rapid growth and revenue.
On Reddit, Baker shared his key lessons:
Double down on marketing channels that work; only experiment later when you have more cash flow.
Don't overthink a single feature, and just do whatever comes to mind first; change it later. Just ship.
Use AI to ship products faster; it's easier than ever now to ship stuff.
Have a Discord for the SaaS from day #1; it allows for quick feedback and iteration.
Don't spend over 2 weeks building a product, especially in the age of AI.
One important thing he shares is how to validate your idea before starting the development: Research popular open-source GitHub repositories similar to your concept.
Baker found repositories proving demand for a product like NinjaChat AI:
The only problem with these repositories was that users needed to host all the tools on their PC.
He saw an opportunity by offering a hosted, all-in-one solution which made this very convenient for the users.
Customers loved his product, driving his impressive revenue.
His tech stack: NinjaChat.ai is built using Next.js, Tailwind, Supabase, Chakra, MongoDB, and Stripe.
Note: This wasn’t his first project. Here is list of his previous projects:
Key takeaways:
Solve your own pain points
Validate demand early
Move fast and ship
Double down on what works
Leverage AI to speed up development
What frustration will you turn into a profitable product?
